I’ve had the good luck to meet a few celebrities in my life — Willie Mays, George Bush Sr., Alan Arkin, Nancy Pelosi, Carol Shelby. But recently I met someone I admire tremendously! Shmuel Thaler stopped a group of us senior walkers from the Walking Adventure Group at London Nelson Community Center and asked who we were. This evidence of his constant curiosity about our community is why his photography is so interesting and excellent. Really, it’s the first thing I look for every day when I open the Sentinel.
