Community service officer Jessica Goode inspects the scene after Santa Cruz police and fire, an AMR ambulance and the Highway Patrol were dispatched Tuesday morning to a report of a vehicle down an embankment off Branciforte Drive near DeLaveaga Park. It turned out the mishap had occurred the previous day and no one involved with the wreck was at the site when first responders arrived.
Goode has been with Santa Cruz police since 2022 and was named the department’s Employee of the Month in February 2024.
